CSIR- CFTRI, an institute of research eminence in the area of food technology and diversified research capabilities headed by Dr. KSMS Raghavarao, Director CSIR-CFTRI has signed a Memorandum of understanding with JSS Science and Technology University, one of the youngest university under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyepeeta on 2nd Jan 2019 in the gracious presence His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamij at Mysuru.
Dr. B G Sangameshwara, Vice Chancellor of the University opined education advancement can be achieved by encouraging best practices in Innovation and embracing advanced research. He also mentioned that as per the AICTE and UGC mandate transforming Indian universities into research centers is very important towards achieving global ranking.
Dr. KSMS Raghavarao, Director, CSIR-CFTRI mentioned that there is a huge potential for collaborative development in utilizing the expertise of CFTRI and JSS S&T University. This will have a beneficial impact on emerging industry requirements, society in general.
The MOU was signed on a broad agreement, to work on latest technologies like Artificial intelligence and machine learning and its impact on detection of food adulteration, quality valuation, food process automation ad formulation of health care food and nutraceuticals .It will also enhance engagement on Joint projects, workshops, faculty development programs etc

Betsurmath – Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru, Dr. K S Lokesh, registrar, JSS S&T University, Dr. Mallikarjun Aradya, Dean Research, Dr. P Nagesh, Dr .T N Naghabhushan, Dr. N Haraprasad & Dr. M Pradeep represented the University.
