Research and Development

• Since 1988, he is teaching under graduate and Post graduate courses and actively involved in department structural consultancy works and Research activities.
• Presently heading the Department of Construction Technology and Management.
• Published 63 Technical papers in Journal, National & International conferences.
• Guided 49 M.Tech dissertation works. Guided One Ph.D. student, and currently Guiding 4 Doctoral students.
• Nominated as a member of review of technical papers in many International Journals and Conferences.
• Involved in all College constructional activities, structural consultancy works of the college and a Technical review committee member in various Government buildings.
• Underwent International Training on “Integrated Coastal Zone Planning and Management using Geoinformation Technologies” at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand in sept,2008
• Presented technical paper in 4th Intl. Conf. Earthquake Geotechnical Engg., 4ICEGE, Thessaloniki, Greece , June 2007
• Visited Bhuj with Japanese Geotechnical Society team for the reconnaissance survey of geotechnical damage suffered during Bhuj earthquake of 2001 and visited Andaman & Nicobar Island after Sumatra earthquake of 2004.
• Students project “Planning and designing of Multi level Car and Two wheeler Parking” received First prize in Build-tech- 2003,
• Appointed as subject expert for live transmission of VTU _EDUSAT Program for the subjects Strength of Materials, Design of Reinforced Cement Concrete and Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures.
• Developed manual shaking Table and weight sounding equipment and developed Structural dynamics laboratory at SJCE under TEQIP II Grants.
• Involved in Renovating the old Heritage building to JSS Museum.
• Involved in giving Technical guidance and report for the Two dilapidated Heritage buildings in Mysuru city ( Lansdowne and Devaraja market Buildings).
