The Mathematics of Machine Learning

  • January 18, 2021 - 10:00am
  • JSS Science and Technology
This FDP is specially designed to give mathematical insight on the  learning process in neural networks. In recent times
there has been explosion of applications based on deep learning. However there has been no clarity on how these architectures learn volumes of data taken from  multidimensional space.
When such architectures reach saturation, there is a need to look at newer learning algorithms and architectures. This is possible only if the mathematical aspects are understood.
This FDP will suit all those who want to do good research in evolving new learning algorithms for machine learning.
This course will present basic mathematical foundations that are essential for leaning such as vector calculus, linear algebra, probability and  statistics. It is driven by laboratory exercises on PARAM super computer where demo shall given using Tensorflow.
Interested faculty members are required to register on the ATAL PORTAL. The attached files gives the necessary information and directions for registration. should there are questions, please feel free to email me at tnn@sjce.ac.in
