A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed recently between JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru and Valles Marineris International Private Limited, a space technology company based in Chennai. The two organizations agreed to work together in the area of space technology on the problems that are of paramount importance to our society. Some of the space technology application areas two organizations have identified, include Nanosats, atmospheric monitoring, radiation monitoring, disaster management and green energy projects. Vice Chancellor Dr. B G Sangameshwara said that the critical issues faced by Mysore district and Karnataka can be addressed by the universities working in the cutting edge areas of space technology. Collaboration between the two organizations will also lead to necessary human capital development whereby students and faculty members of JSS Science and Technology University will greatly benefit with exposure and experience to space technology, he said.
