Dr. Dayakar G. Devaru received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University, USA in 2015. He received his Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the West Virginia University, USA in 2006 and Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from SJCE, University of Mysore in 1998. He is a Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers (USA), Qualified Specialist of Process Heating Assessment and Survey Tool from the US Department of Energy and Certified Quality Engineer from American Society for Quality. He has received Outstanding Industrial Assessment Center Engineering Student award for the year 2014 from the US Department of Energy in recognition of significant contributions made to energy-efficiency. He has more than 14 years of teaching experience in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, more than 10 years of experience in improving energy efficiency of industries and buildings and more than 5 years of industrial experience in Lean Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. He is currently working as a Professor in the department of Industrial and Production Engineering at JSS Science and Technology University.
