The department of Polymer Science and Technology in association with department of Environmental Engineering, SJCE, JSS Science & Technology University (JSSSTU), Mysuru has hosted one week Faculty Development Program sponsored by TEQIP phase-3 on the topic “Advanced Materials for Energy, Water and Health” between 22nd to 27th July 2019.
This was inaugurated on Monday, 22nd July 2019 by Shri. R. C. Jagadesh, Director, Klueber Ind. Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, who also addressed the gathering about the statistics that threw light on current status and trend in the sectors of Energy, Water & Health, and said that we Indian Researchers, Teachers and Employees shall adopt more discipline and patriotism to address the challenges concerned with Energy, Water & Health sectors in our country and the leaders shall first demonstrate it with their regular code of conduct.
70 participants encompassing researchers, students & teachers from various science and engineering institutes namely Bhilwara Rajasthan; PES University Bengaluru; JSS ATE Bengaluru; SJBIT Bengaluru; UBDT Davanagere; GEC Kushalnagar; SAHE Tumkur; CIT Ponnampet; Maharani Science College Mysuru; UOM; VVCE; Polytechnic Nanjungud & others were present; during which the 17 resource persons from well-known institutes namely IIT Madras, BARC, CFTRI, JSS AHER, JSS Ayurvedic & Medical College, UOM, MSRIT, Jain University, Presidency University, IRI, RESIL, Karl Zeiss, BEML & others delivered their expertise on advanced materials and systems in the domain of Energy, Water & Health etc; that helps in various fields of interest to carry-out research activities like energy storing, energy harvesting, sustainability, eco friendly & green system, etc.
