Department of COMPUTER APPLICATIONS and ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION, SJCE, JSS Science and Technology University, Mysore, is organizing one week workshop on “Deep Architecture Advances in Machine Learning For Biometrics” from 10th October to 15th October-2019.
The main objective of the workshop is to enhance the knowledge of Biometric applications using Machine Learning and Deep Learning architectures, build communities of research students,educator, R&D, and Industry persons in this emerging area of research and development. Also provide hands-on tutorial sessions, where the participants can experiment with concepts and methods which also includes case studies on Biometrics. Interested members are requested to fill the Google form at the earliest and take participate in the workshop .Note:
- Last date of google form submission is 28th September 2019.
- Only first 30 participants are registered for the workshop.
- All sessions attendance is mandatory.
Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and Computer Applications, JSS Science and Technology University organised TEQIP-III Sponsored One Week Faculty Development Programme from 10th to 15th October 2019. Inaugural function was held on 10th October 2019 at 10:00 am, by lighting the lamp and seeking the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru.
Dr. Satish Kumar Singh, Professor, IIIT Allahabad, was Keynote speaker and Chief Guest, addressed the gathering about the need and use of Biometrics and its challenges in real time situation, merits and strengths of deep architectures. He also emphasised about the applications of biometrics in various devices and its vast use in the community. He further added that in his exclusive session he shall demonstrate on the examples of various architectures for biometric applications.
The function was presided by Dr. K. S. Lokesh, Registrar, JSS STU, Dr. T. N. Nagabhushan, Principal & Dean (Academics), Dr. V. N. Manjunath Aradhya, Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of Computer Applications, Dr. K.Shailaja. Associate Professor & Head, Dept of Electronics and Instrumentation along with members of faculty, research scholars and students.
