This program on Japanese Culture and management is being planned with specific focus on creating the awareness to the students on the Japanese management techniques like Toyota Production System (TPS), Kaizen, 5S… etc., which are being accepted and implemented globally by all world class companies. This program covers presentation from Experts of Toyota group companies sharing their experiences and thereby enabling the participants to have an insight into the best management techniques, which enables them to adopt to the industries with much ease and create innovative thinking in their work areas, after their graduation from the University.Event Report
JSS Science & Technology University (Formerly SJCE ) recently organized a one day workshop on “Japanese Culture & Management” which was organized by department of Polymer Science and Technology in association with Toyoda Gosei South India Pvt. Ltd. (TGSIN), Bidadi . The highly sought Japanese management culture which is followed by successful industries was shared to students, industrialists and staff of the University.
190 members participated in the one day event. 7 industries practicing Japanese culture at their business presented their expertise on ,The Power of Mind and Japanese Culture & Management Mr. B. Thej Kumar (Sr. GM, TGSIN), Topic on Safety – The Base for Management By Mr. Paramesh (DM, Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts) , Training – The first step by Mr. Raja (AM, TGSIN), Toyota Production Systems by Deepak W Rego (GM, Toyotetsu India Pvt. Ltd.), 5S concepts & approach by Mr. Girish Dhurwas (DGM, Toyota Kirloskar), Kaizen -The stepping stone for success by Mr. Jagadeesh Prasad (Ex. Vice chairman, QCFI, Bengaluru), Visual management by Mr. Mohan (Sr. Mngr, TGSIN).
To establish more industry-institute-interactions, Asian Polymers, Mandya signed a MoU with the university Mr. Tom Mathew represented the company. During the inauguration, Prof. B. G. Sangameshwara, Vice Chancellor of JSSSTU , Dr. K. S. Lokesh, Registrar, JSSSTU, Dr. T. N. Nagabhushan, Principal SJCE, Prof. Siddaramaiah, Head, Polymer science department were present in the event.
