JSS Science & Technology University (Formerly SJCE ) celebrates its annual National level technical symposium TANTRAGYAAN 2019 which is organized to hone the Managerial skills of the participants in the two-day event. The event was organized by the Department of Construction Technology & Management and TEQIP-III at their campus recently. The Symposium was attended by students across various technical institutions in Karnataka in the domain of civil and Construction Engineering.

            230 Students across 12 Engineering Institutions in Karnataka participated in the 2-day annual event. Technical lectures were organized and experts like Lt Col Harsha spoke on “Difficult Terrain- A civil Engineers Delight” and Ramesh Satyanarayana Kikkeri on “sustainable living, a practice”. Lt Col Harsha motivated students relating to exploration of various skills required to become a successful civil engineer while relating his experiences in Antartica and the role of civil Engineer in Army. Ramesh Satyanarayana Kikkeri addressed on building an economical and energy efficient building using domestic waste and locally available materials. Various technical and management competitions were also organized.  Vidyavardaka engineering college students won 3 competition in “Concrete Technology” , Model Making and Quiz, JNNCE,Shivamogga won several prizes in Geotechnology, paper presentation on the topic “ Projects that will make India a superpower “ and CADD competitions, Students from MSRIT, Bengaluru won two prizes in Model making and Surveying, JSS STU Civil students won prizes in Marketing Management & Photography , Dayanandsagar college students won in Pictionary competition. Students from JNNCE, Shivamogga won the overall championship.
