Prevention of Caste Based Discrimination in JSS Science and Technology University
In compliance with the communication dated 6th JUNE 2018, from University Grants Commission, New Delhi regarding prevention of caste based discrimination, JSS Science and Technology University here by places on record its commitment to strive towards preventing caste based discrimination in all its academic activities.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
- The Officials/Faculty members shall refrain from any act of discrimination against SC/ST/OBC students on grounds of their social origin.
- Anybody who experiences or comes to know of any caste based discrimination in the University are requested to immediately bring it to the notice of the authorities.
- The University Strictly adheres to the “No Caste Based Discrimination” policy if the UGC & disciplinary action shall be initiated against any official/faculty member/staff who indulge in any such activity.
- The University has Constituted the PCBDC and a Committee to look into the discriminating complaints received from the SCs/STs /OBC students/Teachers and non-teaching staff.
The Government of India, Ministry of HRD, Department of Higher Education, New Delhi and University Grants Commission is continuously monitoring the Prevention of Caste based discrimination in Higher Educational Institutions.
In this regard, Prevention of Caste Based Discrimination Cell is formed in the University.
The students/faculty/staff can register their complaints against any act of caste based discrimination in the University at the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. A complaint register is available to register your complaints.
